More Than 12,000 Now Have Viewed Play Ball Sports Art

July 23rd, 2013 - Cleveland, OH

Play Ball ( Update ) now has more than 12,000 views at www.ray-tapajna.artistwebsites.com. It is Ray Tapajna's most popular artwork at fineartamerica.com. Play Ball, is a symphony of reactions to a bat and baseball. Ray has dedicated Play Ball to Omar Vizquel, who is perhaps the greatest short stop ever and who played in the major leagues until he was 45 years old. His reaction to a ball and a bat was indeed a symphony of action. It was an art form in itself.

Ray also features Babe Ruth, The Bambino ; The Yankee Clipper - Where have you gone Joe DiMaggio ; Jim Thome who hit more than 600 homeruns, ( Ray has him in several different team uniforms.) ; Roberto Alomar, A Hall of Fame player who was magic at second base and who knew how to put the ball in play like only a few did in the history of the game ; Travis Hafner, known as The Donkey or Pronk in a unique rendition of his early years and Manny Ramirez , just being Manny plus Omar Vizquel in Cleveland Indians' uniform. See also Graduating Gridders with Ray winning a Scripps-Howard Award for this illustration.

Ray also has Play Ball on U.S. Postage Stamps, which should grow in value as time goes by as a collectible. He has a special bundle offer for a set of twenty stamps and a print of Omar Vizquel in a Cleveland Indians uniform. Contact Ray at newsworld@fastmail.net
